MyCashBox is a secure digital payment platform that helps users and businesses easily send money, make payments, and manage financial transactions in one simple app.



Research

Problem Statement

Many users and SMEs in emerging markets struggle with fragmented payment systems, fraud concerns, and complicated financial apps. MyCashBox needed a seamless and trustworthy experience that supports both consumers and merchants.

The User Journey Map visualizes the end-to-end experience of users interacting with MyCashBox, from onboarding to completing transactions. It helped identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement, ensuring a smoother, more intuitive, and user-centered experience.

Building Trust Through Inclusive Design

Security and accessibility were key considerations throughout the design process. Features such as secure authentication, transaction confirmations, and clear feedback messages were incorporated to build user trust, while accessible typography, sufficient color contrast, and intuitive navigation ensured a seamless experience for users of all abilities.

Delivering a Simpler and More Efficient Payment Experience

The final design streamlined key user journeys, improved navigation, and enhanced transaction efficiency. By focusing on usability, security, and accessibility, the solution created a more intuitive experience that helps users complete payments confidently while supporting business growth and customer engagement.

Key Takeaways and Future Improvements

This project reinforced the importance of designing financial products that balance simplicity, security, and user trust. Through research and iterative design, I learned how thoughtful UX decisions can reduce friction and improve user confidence. Given more time, I would conduct usability testing and further optimize the experience based on real user feedback.
